At the beginning of 2019 the Frico Experience Centre opened in Harderwijk, Netherlands.
Here Frico, as Europe’s market leader in the field of air curtains, radiant heaters and fan heaters, not only has an impressive range of products and control systems on display, but is also offering custom training for consultants, installers and service engineers.
Xander van Bree, Managing Director of Frico BV, explains that the Experience Center of Frico Netherlands is one of the largest in Europe. “To create it, we had to clear more than eighty square metres of space in our warehouse on Van Leeuwenhoekstraat. Various alterations have been made here over the past few months. For example, we have created a mezzanine where our visitors can get the perfect view of our products. We have also incorporated a seating area where we can relax and talk about these products, their installation and maintenance.”
See and experience products first hand
An extensive range of products has been installed on the ground floor. “From VRF (heat pump) systems to single split units and from combined heating and cooling systems to radiant heaters and fan heaters”, says Van Bree. “At our Experience Center we bring all aspects of our service to life. Advisors, installers and (maintenance) engineers can not only look at our products, but can also try out potential configurations and control systems. We let them open up all our products, examine them closely and simulate faults, so customers can familiarise themselves fully with their installation and maintenance.” A special cooling cell gives potential customers the chance to experience exactly what Frico’s air-conditioning systems can do. “We have also installed an air curtain in this area, where its function is perfectly demonstrated.”
Physical and virtual experience
Van Bree explains that, at the Experience Center, consultants, installers and service engineers get to see and experience Frico’s products not just physically, but virtually too. “In Harderwijk, consultants who want to prescribe Frico products can familiarise themselves with our software, which greatly simplifies the calculation, selection and quotation process, as well as the ordering of our products, and allows products to be integrated into a BIM model. We also show various 3D product films so installers can see exactly what our products are like on the inside.”
Extensive training programme
To give customers an even more comprehensive service, every year the company offers a range of training programmes at the Experience Center. Custom training is also available by appointment, for companies keen to train their employees (or a group of them) all at once. “At the end of each programme we present the participants with a certificate, which they can then show to their customers”, says Van Bree. “In this way customers can be confident that not only Frico’s products, but also the associated services, meet the very highest standards.”
